Search for signs of spring on Great Works' newest preserve and trail network along the Negutaquet River. There are nearly two miles of trails on the 102-acre preserve, featuring the 'Double-Oak', a small riverside cemetery, beaver habitat, and meadows along with forestland. This is a easy/moderate level hike, as the trail system is close to two miles long with mixed terrain.

Join Board President Tin Smith, for a hike through properties within the Mt. A to Sea region. This is a moderate level hike with mixed terrain.

Meet at the end of Old County Road, closest to third hill. Look for our GWRLT Hike sign. Parking along the road.

Celebrate Mothers Day by observing the world of Avian Motherhood! Join Mary Mazur and Johnny Pazdon, outdoor educators and also caretakers of the property, bright and early on Savage Wildlife Preserve on this stunning riverfront property. Hikers will watch for bird behavior, arrivals, and look for nests. There is incredible bio-diversity on the Savage Wildlife Preserve and over 120 species of birds have been identified on this property. This is an easy level walk, great for families, distances traveled are short.

Attention: This area is prone to deer ticks, please dress appropriately, covering exposed skin as necessary.

Our wildflower expert, Barbara Grunden, is unfortunately no longer available. Join Brenna Crothers & Patti Mitchem, wildflower enthusiasts, and botany novices on a wildflower hunt! Patti and Brenna will lead hikers through this extensive property highlighting wildflowers along the way. Bring bug spray and or bug nets, as this area in spring can be very buggy. This is a easy/moderate level walk, distances traveled will be close to two miles, however moving at a slower pace to stop and observe flowers!
