Desrochers Memorial Forest, South Berwick

Join Great Works Regional Land Trust for a volunteer work day with Stewardship Director, Darrel Detour & Assistant Stewardship Coordinator, Brenna Crothers. Volunteers will participate in trail improvement and trail development at Desrochers Memorial Forest, South Berwick.

Desrochers Memorial Forest is in South Berwick at the end of Tara Lane off of Knights Pond Road. Parking is located at the South Berwick Town Woods parking area at the end of Tara Lane.

We will be supplying tools, but you might bring your favorite loppers, work gloves, and bug spray.

Join Great Works Regional Land Trust for a volunteer work day with Stewardship Director, Darrel Detour & Stewardship Assistant, Brenna Crothers. Volunteers will participate in invasive species removal at Douglas Memorial Woods in Eliot.

Douglas Memorial Woods is located a the intersection of Old Road with State Road (103) in the village of Eliot, near the Fogg Memorial Library. The John F. Hall Grange. Parking will be in the Grange parking area (1333 State Road).

We will be supplying tools, but you might bring your favorite loppers, work gloves, and bug spray.

A series of outings showcasing Great Works preserves within five miles of the coast. Meet the first Wednesday of the months of June-September and will meet at Beach Plum Farm in Ogunquit (610 Main Street) before heading out to a nearby preserve. Hikers are expected to bring their own transportation and proper footwear.

Attention: This area is prone to deer ticks, please dress appropriately, covering exposed skin as necessary.


Outings require minimum of three people. Email or call 207-646-3604 to reserve a spot. Free to Great Works members, $5/$10 family suggested donation for non members. Reservations required.

Join Great Works Regional Land Trust for a volunteer work day with Stewardship Director, Darrel Detour & Stewardship Assistant, Brenna Crothers. Volunteers will participate in creating a river trail to the Worsceter Brook.

Brooks Farm is located on Route 9, School Street, in Berwick, just North of Brooks Lane. Parking for this work day will be along Route 9 just north of Brooks Lane in a large dirt pull off.

We will be supplying tools, but you might bring your favorite loppers, work gloves, and bug spray.
